From 1995 until today  i do lights/video/decor for a dutch cybergothic dancenight . One part of the video projection tries to answer the question “what is the dj playing right now’. Every currently playing song/artist  has to be typed in and will be visible on a big screen .  Not all dj’s wanted to do this extra work . They idea was to create custom made barcodes for all the songs. Which could be scanned by the dj with a barcode scanner . The only problem was , we had to enter all off the songs/artists in a database….

created to control dimmers/lights for dancenights.  It makes complex patterns . By tapping the spacebar one could give a certain speed.

A patch i made in dec 2002 , probably to master jitter .

it loads 3 movie files and switches between them , with some userinput in a table object it jumps between certain frames.

After a few years they wanted a less interactive option in the installation. They asked me to control itunes from maxmsp.

But they never used it …

While i am working with Bezier splines i encountered this error in jit.expr.

With a 3D lay out i adjusted the 4 controlpoints in a range from <-4., 4.> float32 values, now after i administered it to jit.expr the result was scaled between <0., 1.> float32.

So beware, you have been warned.

Its deceased and almost finished . didn’t documented it .

A max patch to control lights for an opera. A medium sized opera house actualy used it in a small tour in the netherlands.But when they did the reprise of the play (mavra from igor stravinsky) they rented a real light desk…
